Not Australian related but will post here because this seems to be where most of the action is ATM.
In Remington Park yesterday, the BF suspend guy was asleep and the wheel and forgot to press the in-play button on a number of races. So in the first, 3 minutes after the race was run and won (and by a clear margin) there was still $1.14 available and being traded! Similar stories in the other couple of races, $1.50 being available on the winner 30 seconds after the race.
My question is, what causes this? Obviously bot related one way or another but is it...
1. Is it primarily pre-off bots just dumping liquidity into the market by following an apparant steamer thinking they were still behind the barriers.
2. The in-play market is dominated by bots and they didn't trigger when the race didn't go in play. As soon as R1 went in-play (4 mins late) $1.01 was matched despite upwards of $1.10 being available for a number of minutes.
Bit confused by the behaviour of these markets.
Australian racing
i didnt bet those races yesterday but dont think most inrunning money would be from bots in those usraces, probably some market making bots but not so much bet taking ones.Dr_Zoidberg wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 11:10 pm

I just think most people know all bets are void so they wouldnt back the price all the way down to 1.01

Funny thing is that they voided a couple of the races but I got $3 in another as they went past the post and they settled that market.
was it sprint races yesterday as well?
i remember a couple of years ago they didnt void on a greyhound race that was suspended after the finish.
you wont lose money from betting on the outcome so you might as well if you dont have moral issues with it

Rulership to get the money in race 1 Randwick.
Yeah a lot of the time they couldn't give a f*** about US racing so they can't be arsed going back and sorting out the SP, remember an Aussie race went in-play till the 500m mark and they brought that back.Dr_Zoidberg wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 12:27 amFunny thing is that they voided a couple of the races but I got $3 in another as they went past the post and they settled that market.
I just think there's no-one really watching US racing so they don't feel inclined to fix it
Don't think that will stop a lot of people!
Good to be back in business today. Been a nice week off from trading

Somewhat surprised that racing is still on in Oz but the Corona doesn't seem as bad in Oz at the moment as we have it.
Been a good session so far though having all sorts of issues with my Sky Sports Racing pictures.
Hope we all have a good day and can at least step into the backyard or get near a window for sun, or get sun on the way to get a coffee at the cafe (takeaway only).PDC wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 3:03 amDon't think that will stop a lot of people!

I'll have a look at the main covid19 forum and give my views there.

Well sometimes it is easy, up at my local cafe this morning, all fine. Then went to get a new toll tag for the car, shopping centre was as manic as any other Saturday morning, completely riduculous, I spent three minutes inside, saw how packed it was, and left and came home. So we have police telling young couples with a baby in a pram they can't take a five minute break and sit on a park seat during their daily walk (with barely anyone else around) and yet there's thousands packed into the local shopping centre.
