Without doubt; my biggest edge is having a growth mindset. If you encounter something you don't understand or have the skills you need to move forward along your journey , there are plenty of resources available these days to acquire them. Go get them
Many people will help you too and are very generous with their time, as long as you can demonstrate that you've put the effort in before asking them.

Also Knowing that you don't have to the best at anything is OK. In the context of automation for example; the very best programmers and data scientists aren't necessarily the biggest earners. It the people who have a good rounding of all subjects and perhaps more importantly the ability to apply those skills in a way that may appear to be irrational on the face of it. Ive probably found hundreds of things that dont work and a handful of things that do.

So growth mindset for me is the biggest edge

So edges - pattern recognition and tweaking.
Absolutely. Once the human mind gets really used to thinking that way, it can start seeing patterns everywhere in life, has the potential to very much be life changing. Tweaking in a sense of having the ability to adapt to market circumstances, to ensure longevity in the markets, very much linked to my earlier point about adaptability.

This is very good stuff Peter, I don't see that term being used much, it's often overlooked or taken for granted. But there it is, black on white.

Agreed, Dweck's work is really something and requires, IMO, periodic revisiting to re-assess where one has slipped (or otherwise). Perhaps that approach is part of my growth mindset, but I thank you for the reminder as this is certainly something I will be revisiting during the down period.

+1 Reminds me of the saying: the man that never made a mistake, never made anything.
