Place Bets not working occasionally

Howdy - I'm still having trouble with placing bets not firing occasionally.



Rule1: Place bets on any runner, starting at 14sec before start time to 1 hour after start time, rearm 999 time, with 0.3 secs before rearming

Rule2: Take SP All starting 2 secs after start time to 1 hour after race time, trigger 1000 time, rearm one second.

conditions:
projectedspHH > 0
favepriceHH > 0
market not in play
place bet triggers = 0

Restrict refresh set 60secs before and 60 secs after, and streaming at 200 ms.

In the case below, Race time 19:15.

It picks up the race properly because it stores to SVs 30sec before the off, but then doesnt start placing the bets till 8 secs after race time (not 14s before) for some reason, then it runs Take SP once, and no other bets are placed.

The automation works fine most of the day, but about 10% of the time it doesnt place any bets at all, or like the above where it places just one bet, despite the (seemingly) very simple rules to back every horse/dog in a race.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Is it likely that there's a coding error that I havent found? Or is it probable that my computer is having a heart attack that I'm not aware of? Something else?

Hmmm.

I was watching the Automation and on this particular race (below) it only placed two bets on the first 2 dogs and then stopped, so I manually Cancelled All (both) at 12:47:40 which then triggered the automation to immediately start again and back the remaining animals.

Can anyone think what might have happened there?

It sounds like there could be an intermittent connection issue on your computer, are you using a wired or wireless/4g to connect with?

If you post up the rules files i'll have a chech through to see if there's anything been missed

A while ago I had an issue with using "any selection" on the "applies to" drop down... (at the time I assumed there was a cycle type issue related to guardian and where focus of the automation was at any particular time).

Anyways, I got round whatever the problem was by creating a rule for each selection. A bit more of a headache to maintain if you are continuing to develop but maybe worthwhile to see if it addresses the problem.. At least that way you will have a better idea if the problem is with use of the "any selection" option..

That particular computer is using a wifi connection. I guess that could be an issue, although that wouldnt explain my 2nd post where the AUtomation started running again when I cancelled those 2 bets.

I plugged a wire cable (NBN) into my machine yesterday, and still got the same weird results occasionally.

Here's another race for reference. Similar but not identical automation, same problems.

There are a few weirdish things going on here:
1. It took 10 secs to place the 2nd bet.
2. It placed the last bet at start time, and didnt place bets on the last 4 horses
3. For some reason the log seems not in exact chronological order (!) - it goes from 17.25.59 to 17.25.58 and back to 17.25.59.

Take SP is set to trigger from 2 sec before to 1hour after, every sec, 500 times, not in-play.

The 10 seconds gap you just seen sounds like its a communication error with Betfair API
It's always been the case that if Bet Angel fails to get a response after 10 seconds for something it will try again and it looks like that 2nd request is then waking up or unblocking whatever it is that caused your PC not to get the reponce Bet Angel was waiting for.

Which version of Bet Angel are you using?
version number is located in the top left corner of your screen or in the bottom right corner of the blue login window
