Something I never appreciated enough (guess I was focused on the process not the profit/return and didn't really think about it)as a beginner: 4 by 1 tick scalps with $10 stakes at an av price of 2.86 and you make...24c profit  . A lot of effort for not much-especially as you have to be on the right side 4 times in 60-120 seconds or so. When you lose though the $1 loss appears very quickly-it seems anyway .It definitely will be a mental challenge ( more pressure) to up the stakes but when you are still around 60% strike, the up in stakes is a way off.. for me anyway. Also the volume and liquidity requirement is different for $10 versus $100 stakes so the whole game might change again-I hope not. Frustrating game this :) I am finally trying to be repeatable in terms of process though so hopefully hat helps.
It's been years and years and fortunately not cost me too much but man I must be in the bottom range as far as natural traders go

With respect to the Aussie flavoured thread:
The volume numbers on small markets in Aus since UK racing stopped is mind blowing and has been interesting to watch :ugeek: .

I'd say it wouldn't be too far off normally considering there were 2 runners sub 3.0

There's definitely added liquidity because of no UK racing but imo it's definitely not much different to the usual, in fact there seems to be no difference away from Saturdays

Have to be a little careful there, while Topsport is considered Australia's 'fairest' bookie, they still dislike arbers like anyone else. Given their large bet limits, it's the single most important account you'll have outside of BF. Have to consider whether it's worth jeopardising it for a few arbs.

Fair call however i turn over a lot of coin with topsport so a bit of arbing on the side would be far from frowned upon. i know of numbers of punters using to Sports and Racing top up tokens for arbing .

I'm not sure of the delay.

I love the early markets. It's like a harness race before the main event. :)

how come there are so many scratchings in australia, must have been at least 6 at the gates today, often there isnt a single one in the uk, feels like every other race there is a delay not being able to load a horse
