Hi all.
What are the optimal settings please these days for the Communications screen? I have super-fast broadband and do most of my trading on horses in-play but I also have hundreds of markets constantly refreshing in Guardian.
I have read here https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/com ... 3D&mw=MzIw but dont really understand what the Dynamic Connection Tuner does for example. And should I just whack the Background Market Prices up to 20ms? What exactly does the connection smoothing do?

Connection tuning is explained in this page
https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/dyn ... tuner.html
Regarding the other settings it dpends on what your doing, how your trading and what information is most relevant for you there is no right or wrong with the refresh rates just whatever feels best.
For example if trading manually humans can't react faster than 200-300ms so not much point in having the prices refresh at 20ms

Also what is exactly driven by Background Market Prices please? Is it the market you have showing on One-Click screen or is it the markets circulating through Guardian?
In general you should leave it set to 10. If you have an erratic internet connection then you can reduce the setting to help Bet Angel recover from timeouts more quickly. If you were based on the other side of the world (compared to betfair) and had slow but stable internet and found that prices were not updating, then you'd increase the setting.jameegray1 wrote: ↑Thu May 07, 2020 12:04 amI've already read that page and I still dont really understand what the dynamic connection tuner does or how I should have it set.Dallas wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 11:44 pmjameegray1 wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 11:36 pmHi all.

The background market prices include the Watchlist and markets spawned in new one-click/ladder windows that you don't currently have in focus as your main market
