Hi just wondering if anyone can help?
I am finding it difficult to get matched on the OZ Greyhound markets just before a big move. Even with small stakes (£50) the price flies past my money, sometimes partially matching.
Is there any way around this or is this just the nature of the greyhound markets?
Trouble getting matched

When you say it goes past your money, are you saying you have unmatched bets at better/worse prices than the current market price? Ie you have an unmatched back bet asking for 4.0 and the current back price is 5.0? That really shouldn't be possible. Is this live or practice mode?
Hi Shaun thanks for your reply.
For example if I'm expecting a sudden drift I'll lay at the best available price, say 3.55, now most of the time I will get partially matched as the price races up to say 3.7 but most of my original lay money is still sitting at 3.55.
This is in Live mode. In practice mode I get fully matched with no problems.
Maybe I'm just entering the trade too late?

Ah so you're taking a price but asking for more than the available vol so some is remaining unmatched.... I can't comment on if it's because you're too late because even getting some matched and being right about the direction is better then getting it all matched and it going the wrong way. £50 can be quite a big bet on some of those aus dog races, it might just be that this particular strategy won't scale very high. I trade the Aus dogs with automation and my avg matched amount isn't very high at all. Thankfully there's 1000s of them and what you lose in scale you gain on the sheer quantity.
