does anyone know if there is any good articles on the internet about this?
The best article is page 95 in the user manual

The way I use this is to tick the horses I want to lay, I do this pre race and I tick the "back" column, thus asking for the price.
What the bookmaking tab gives you is a way to equalise your liability evenly, or once you have mastered the software you can set a profit target. So maybe in a 6 runner race you could lay 4 of the field at different profit targets, say £10, £5, £4 and £0.
It sounds complex but it isn't. As an bookie you have a good understanding of the concept no doubt.

thanx for the help, yeh i do get the concept, have been playing around with dutching, but think the bookmaking is the way forward, not totally happy about how to keep bets inplay on betdaq i much prefer betfair, ive tried going to rules and ticking the box hoping it works lol..can anyone tell me what happens for example if i place a bet say on football on both teams and the draw, but one team isnt matched and the price goes against me,is there any way i can get out without making a loss?
re your question.
If the price goes against you then you need to adjust the price to get out. You will have a minor loss if the price hasn't moved too far.
What I sometimes do in a football match is use the time decay in my favour. example:
it is 2-0 you can lay both the losing team and the draw at the price on offer, but ask for a price on the leading team 1 or 2 ticks lower and adjusting your trigger to 101%. This is best when the leading team is attacking. If the losing team gets a goal then you are in danger, but still have a chance to get out without too much damage as the leading team is still leading. saying that there are much better ways to make money than this.
