How are they so shit at getting a race off on time! Half the time the horses are still going down at post time. There seems to be no urgency whatsoever.

There isn't any urgency, it's not like there's going to be any clashes.

With Newmarket I wouldn't bet on it.

Not really the point though. If you are doing IR you are waiting around 5 mins or so just to do something it kinda takes the piss. There's not really any reason for it seemingly just incompetence. What's the point of having timings if you aren't going to try and stick to the? They could just do everything 5 minutes earlier.

I get what you mean but when you go from no racing, to racing that has 5 mins of extra trading time due to lateness, it's hard to see the downside. If you're IR then you'll obvioulsy just get the time the distance gives you but for PP, but that extra period between scheduled and actual start can be golden. I suppose that when it comes to trading some of us are Jack Spratt and some are his wife, right now I'm just glad we've both got something to trade. I'll settle for a 5 min delay rather than a delay until August.

How are you finding IR? Same, better, worse?

Predictions for todays races as churned out by historical data
UK 0606.jpg
Based on using a stake of £25 for Back or Lay these are the daily results. 2 win days and 3 lose days. Considering the season has just restarted it`s doing ok.

I can't wait to watch Pinatubo this afternoon, this is the only horse that has stuck in my memory whilst being on the exchange (dont have a long past in being a racing enthusiast)

What approach are you using to generate these forecasts? And also, surely without some kind of confidence % for each of these positions you might be taking all these positions at negative value? If it's taking the positions at SP, might be worth working out some price limit.

Current volume for the 2000 Guineas is well above average at the moment.
