Withdrawn! Someone saw your post?....
Crikey, didn't realise they voided on a withdrawn...(N/R)

void.jpg
How can they get away with doing that ??
Surely it's not a stretch to adjust the odds the way they do when a N/R occurs in the horse racing markets. If they shoved in a reserve dog after the market was formed, then that's different.

I think my data is correct. The matrix looks only at races over the exact distance (500m). I think Betfair are giving it the fastest race time because of a trial run over 305m, which is not much use.

If I'm wrong please let me know and I'll sort.
I think it's a good source of info. It gives a nice picture of a race on stats, what's used/not used it up to the user.

If I had the skills, I'd convert the data into a visual predictor, similar to the racing post one, but better, showing first bend/mid race/last bend action.
+ 1

That would be cool. :D

So, looking at the Betfair form cards, the quickest race time and quickest break are not always valid. FML.

Whoever said, garbage in, garbage out, was probably correct.

I'll have a look at how they do theirs and see if I can work something out. I'm not as busy as I'd like to be so might be possible.

For those that are struggling with trading greyhounds.....

There is a pattern which use to stick out like a sore thumb when money arrived late around 2m, then 3m, then 5m. The pattern is still there but since lockdown and the dogs returned it now begins around 10m out. :o

Watch or record UK dog markets from 10m to 1m and keep a note of the following every 30s:

- Market volume
- Selections volume
- Selections VWAP
- Selections price

You will soon see the pattern which occurs across the days racing. I haven't looked but it may also be true for AUS dogs.

Have fun. :)

So if enough of us spot the pattern and start backing said dog the price will come down, I have no idea how many it would take to make it do this.
Then if we are one of the early ones its a nice little earner.

Doesn't take allot of money to move dog prices like it would for horse racing. Throughout the day on dogs around the final 1m mark you will see a person or probably automated bot put between 100 and 300 on the favourite to either hold the price up or push it down. If you jump in front of it then it cancels one side and puts it on the other side which usually forces you to close your position at a loss. Its rather funny to watch the number of people or others bots getting caught out and losing there £2. But do it enough and this bot is probably making allot of the week.
