Betfair Down / Betfair site crash
Market finally settled. I've come out well but it's quite harsh on traders on the wrong end. There's a lengthy thread on this forum about what should be done in such circumstances but I doubt Betfair have put in any thought or even give a toss. 
I actually placed a bet after the api went bonkers. Money taken from account but the matched bet did not appear at any time b4 the crash on either on my acc or BA. There were several minutes of crazy activity b4 the site went down completely.
Maybe I am wrong In the past I thought they cancelled all matched bets to the point where the exchange does not operate properly?
Whats annoying is that i had the opportunity to hedge on BDQ but I made an assumption the order would be cancelled.

That's worse than them taking responsibility and saying "sorry but tough luck".
If you can't get any goodwill out of them then not much else you can do, besides maybe this : viewtopic.php?p=211578#p211578
Lost some bank chunks myself so I know how it feels, sorry for your loss once again. Someone always suggests to escalate it further but idk if that ever works.

I had what I thought was an £8-odd win, only to be settled with the winner having been laid, even though this wasn't on my screen when it was suspended... Very suspicious. Cost me around £37 overall, which while small beer to many, (and other have been hit much harder I know), is the majority of my typical day's winnings.
