Ferru, Iron, Jeff or whatever he's now called used to provide a lot of forum liquidity. He was very inquisitive and would elicit answers from others. If you look at his latter posts he seemed to become a different person.
It's hard to look at his latter posts without knowing his present identity. SweetLyrics is the last user name I've known him to use.
Is he still around then? I thought Jeff had gone!

I used to rib him terribly, but warmed to him greatly towards the end

He is a very complicated individual. I'm not sure he even fully knows himself, but he offered a great deal to the forum, even if he wasn't a good trader

A friend of mine's cat just had 3 kittens and she's looking for names... those 3 are as good as any I've heard so far :)

Jeff did reveal his full name here, as he started some kind of blog many years back.

I always remember his amusing story about online dating, and finding his landlady on there. He couldn't resist looking at her profile, but the story became rather messy.......and not in a sexual way

If you see a new member who quotes people after his text rather than before it, that would be the first tell-tale sign. Then you need to look for similarities in writing style. :)

UC Berkeley History Professor's Open Letter Against BLM, Police Brutality and Cultural Orthodoxy
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/ano ... -and-logic

An anonymous history professor at U.C. Berkeley has penned an open letter against the current narratives of racial injustice underpinning the BLM movement and ongoing protests over the death of George Floyd.
An anonymous Berkeley professor  , yet Berkeley have no evidence to support it and actively condemn it, you need to stop believing everything you read on the net , Frank, especially these anonymous sources.

"An anonymous letter has been circulating, purportedly written by a @UCBHistory professor. We have no evidence that this letter was written by a History faculty member," the UC Berkeley History department tweeted Friday evening," adding "We condemn this letter: it goes against our values as a department and our commitment to equity and inclusion."

"If you see a new member who quotes people after his text rather than before it"

Perhaps I'm being a bit thick, but I don't understand what you mean by that

Irrelevant. It is the content that is important.
People in academia who do not share the prevailing leftist groupthink are routinely hounded out of their jobs.
I notice that you like to shoot the messenger rather to respond to content. Yesterday you called us pampered and middle-aged. Next it will be male, pale and stale I’m sure!

If the purported source was irrelevant then why bother posting as if it was from Berkeley professor and not simply say it was an anonymus post from a right wing website?

It'd be pointless me trying to argue against the word of a professor at one of the top ten universities in the world, Frank.

Most people quote first and then reply. Also, a new member who praises Jeff, may well he Jeff himself with a different nickname. :)

I've had a go at my postman for leaving a parcel in the food waste bin that stunk of rotting fish - I can hardly complain to whoever sent the parcel!

I see what you mean now. My apologies, I wasn't on the same wavelength
