Hi , I have a lay bot (very successful so far) with a fixed odds condition >40. However on the odd occasion it lays lower than 40 which I find very hair raising, are there any extra conditions that I can put in place to avoid this or is it just just the case of the occaional lay will swing back in.
Cheers.
Lay > 40
Why would you want to take a worse price than on offer?mickypaul72 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 5:39 pmHi , I have a lay bot (very successful so far) with a fixed odds condition >40. EDIT: Just send me which horses you want to take >40 on and I'll happily offer you those prices

Thanks for the swift response sa7med perhaps i'm not understanding the logic, so in the field of play if my selection is drifting hence >40 and and it gives me a lay of say 16 then I can count myself as fortunate? In my minds eye I was thinking that if I recieve a lay at 16 it meant the horse was coming back in (despite the fixed odds condition).
I guess I should know better i'm not excatly a rookie at this game

Don't forget there's a mandatory delay between submitting the bet and the bet being placed on the exchange, during which time the price can change. If the price goes out your lay bet will sit on the exchange at the price you asked for (unless you cancel) but if the price gets lower you get matched at a better price. The opposite occurs for back bets taking advantage of a higher price if available.
