In my opinion this forum is of no help to anyone.
One of the benefits of this forum is it's not sugar-coated, it's the reality of trading.

I've seen a lot of the content on some other forums and communities but it's there to keep people onside and 'engaged' it rarely reflects reality. Reality can be harsh, but people find it eventually with or without the help of others.

But I do think if someone is selling stuff and they are not even profitable they should be EXPOSED by Betfair.
I don't think Betfair would do that. They probably don't feel it would be their responsibility. But more important is the fact it would show that they were knowingly pushing and encouraging people by promoting users that they knew had not been successful.

This is where the gambling industry fails badly, it encourages losers by promoting them. That's why it gets a bad name.

And now I'm confused :)
i think it's a glitch in the matrix!!
I did wonder if it was a tongue in cheek post by Archery, given that thread.
yup -i think the problem with the written word (when used in jest) is that it sometimes doesn't *pull it off*. i think Archery1969 was being mildly *ironic* and doing a bit of trolling (on himself :))

as i said, there was an outage on the matrix this morning at 10:00, so things just being restored to last good point.

Maybe I should have said, "believe in what direction the price is heading".
There is no Holy Grail...however....

Football - Choose a game that you believe will be a low scoring encounter. Back Under 2.5goals Pre-Off, trade out In-Play.

1. You know the direction the price will go with absolute certainty. What can go wrong?

Well...an early goal, a sending off, betfair freezes, poor choice of game with no liquidity, you spill coffee on laptop (did that recently)....

Now you have to decide, when to enter the market and when to exit the market.

That'll be £2000 squid via paypal...recurring payment - Monthly

With all due respect that isn't 1 minute's work, it's many many months of work. That's like saying you win The Masters by sinking a putt on the 72nd green and forgetting the 000s of hours of practice. I could post some great results that I achieved in under 100ms if you like but they took a bloody long run up.

It's pointless giving trading advice to someone who believes it's impossible to win. I can't even imagine anyone discovering successful trading when starting out with that attitude.

To me that spells giving up at the first hurdle.

It took me some time to work that out, but it's so true.
