Just been into Lidl and saw a guy picking up a piece of pizza from the bakery, with his bare hands, changing his mind and putting it back! With his lack of hygiene awareness it's unlikely he used hand sanitiser, probably doesn't even wash his hands after wiping his arse.
Bakery products should be securely wrapped, especially in the current climate. It's not as if you can wash it like fruit when you get home!
RANT CORNER
I can relate with this, I was in my local carvery place a while back and while the Mrs ordered the food and drinks I went to the toilet, when I walked in there was a guy just finishing up, he gave it a shake, fastened up and just left without washing his hands, it's hardly surprising as alot of people I've come across dont wash their hands afterwards but what was the real turning point for me was the moment when I realised he was in front of me in the que for food and had his dirty dick hand all over the pea scooper... I gave the guy back my plate, finished the most important thing (my pint) & have never been back to that or a similar place since.Derek27 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 20, 2020 8:01 pmJust been into Lidl and saw a guy picking up a piece of pizza from the bakery, with his bare hands, changing his mind and putting it back! I never thought of that. So even if the guy in Lidl used the tongs to get his pizza it still wouldn't be safe, I'd have to trust his hygiene and that of everybody who touched the tong that day!jamesg46 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 20, 2020 8:14 pmI can relate with this, I was in my local carvery place a while back and while the Mrs ordered the food and drinks I went to the toilet, when I walked in there was a guy just finishing up, he gave it a shake, fastened up and just left without washing his hands, it's hardly surprising as alot of people I've come across dont wash their hands afterwards but what was the real turning point for me was the moment when I realised he was in front of me in the que for food and had his dirty dick hand all over the pea scooper... Yeah, some would say I go too far into it, my father in law ribs me about it all the time.... only because he doesn't wash his hands though and I pull him up over it. Funny, I grew up with my old man always saying "a bit of dirt never hurt anyone" I'm having the last laugh because hes one of those that licks his fingers.....Derek27 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 20, 2020 8:32 pmI never thought of that. Something that's always got on my wick is people picking their nose whilst talking to me! I don't know whether they think it's appropriate behaviour or they're not even aware they're doing it. Either way, I doubt they wash their hands when they finish!

My British sarcasm-o-meter has been way off on here of late on here...could somebody call Boris and have him get things under wraps, so I can visit again to get it recalibrated.
Please tell me this is another such case!?! Who are those people you're talking to? And is this a thing in parts of England? I've not had that happen to me ever, and I'm even seriously struggling to think of a person or scenario where it could happen.
Are you a childminder?
Lucky you if it doesn't happen in Denmark.Kafkaesque wrote: ↑Sat Jun 20, 2020 9:53 pmMy British sarcasm-o-meter has been way off on here of late on here...could somebody call Boris and have him get things under wraps, so I can visit again to get it recalibrated.

It doesn't happen often, but I once had a neighbour in a block of bedsits I'd often chat to, who barely every had his finger out of his nostril, to him it must have been like having your hands in your pockets. I've asked somebody picking his nose for directions before, thinking he would stop, but he didn't. Nobody I know closely, but at social gatherings, standing outside in a group smoking, at a bus stop, etc. I've encountered the problem numerous times.
I can't believe I'm the only person who notices people picking their nose, or perhaps it doesn't bother other people enough to notice?
Thanks a lot, you've just made me feel like Ben Elton in his toilet gag.Kafkaesque wrote: ↑Sat Jun 20, 2020 9:53 pmI've not had that happen to me ever, and I'm even seriously struggling to think of a person or scenario where it could happen.
