Because most of the money is mug money from India, not trader's money. And they only tune in when the coverage starts.LeTiss wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 10:54 amHow many people read the weather forecast before trading the final day of a Test Match?........I'd expect everyone with a trading head, especially those using bots for thousands of pounds.
Why on earth was the draw trading at 1.75 this morning, when it was clear that was going to be no play before midday when you look outside a Southampton window
It's been backed in 50 ticks
Unbelievable

Good shout, hit a low of 1.11..abgespaced wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 10:53 amStill raining for another half hour. Watch the draw go to 1.1
Should be an easy lay once it bottoms out and they start playing. Whenever that is.

Like Jim Cramer once said : "Every once in a while, the market does something so stupid it takes your breath away."
What I have found when trading speculative markets in general, is that if there's enough uncertainty around the market is likely to go from one extreme to the other, just because it can.
Someone can easily call it stupid money or something along those lines, but it always looked to me like the market knows exactly what it's doing

Good call, isn't it much easier to read a market when you're not actively involved in it?abgespaced wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 10:53 amStill raining for another half hour. Watch the draw go to 1.1

The 3 cricket matches that I looked at over the past year all behaved exactly the same, wasn't following this one so unsure if this one was anything out of the ordinary or just people overreacting?
Btw if you've been struggling with a speculative approach perhaps try a momentum based approach instead, or a scalping approach like Emmson employs.

Honestly I am trying not to speculate at all. Rather, I'm looking for value. Where should the odds be instead of where (when?) will they go. I think that's where all the truly profitable edges are - not in knowing what's going to happen, but what's likely to happen and is there enough value in it to warrant taking the chance.
The trades taking place this morning are a classic example of how manipulation can play with people's minds!
The market was WRONG, totally WRONG to lay the draw.......anyone and everyone could see that.
However, I'm sure some had seeds of doubts, once the prices started moving in a direction they didn't expect

On that note, odds are finally correcting to the weather conditions. England at $7 were too short. Going north of $12 now

You are revealing far too much Emmson in my opinion, almost serving it on a platter, that's what I'm surprised at the most if I'm being totally honest
I'd be even more surprised if you were using the grid interface!
I did notice quite a few scalpers and market markets on the ladder. Draw market seems surprisingly thin a good chunk of time, so it's hard to stop genuine momentum.
I will definitely try and incorporate more cricket into my trading, time permitting.

I'm promoting the exchange
No secrets are being revealed Kai because 1 tick scalping is already out there and everybody knows about it, I did not muster all that green from 1 tick scalping. Position taking is important
I'm not using the grid interface either but Bet Angel forum will not accept screenshots of the ladder as it renders *file too large* does anyone use the grid interface for anything?
