We are looking for individuals with high weekly turnover figures for a key project. This isn't software related it's a more strategic long term thinking thing. If you have a high turnover we would be interested in hearing from you. You don't need to turnover a million but any large number would be helpful.

We don't want to deliberately exclude smaller traders but hope that by aiming at bigger traders first we can gain some traction a bit quicker at the start of this project.

To work out your weekly turnover simply visit your 'My account' area on Betfair, visit betting history, select a time period and click on 'Get history'. You can download the resulting history to a spreadsheet where you can add up all the figures to get your total.

As as aside we have put a poll on this thread so you can see where you are in the scheme of things.

Just downloaded my last 3 months betting history.

It came to a total turnover of £7.15M - which over 13 weeks is roughly £550k per week

I've heard people arriving at their turnover in different ways. When working out turnover do you simply mean adding up all the matched stakes during that period or do you mean multiplying the stakes by the odds matched at and then adding up? In the first instance for the last week mine comes to 370 thousand, the second would work out at over 1.5 million.

We are assuming people are using the first method.

If we don't get a sufficient number stepping forward we won't try and get to stage two, so please encourage others to participate. It will be for the benefit of all.

BTW, no need to identify yourself here but just contact us directly if you are interested. It will help all of us.

I am not a pure betfair trader.. I do a bit of everything. Apart from that, it seems that the Australian wallet comes across as dodgy text, not a number, so short of typing in 1000+ stakes for my Aus wallet (or working out how to convert it) I can't get my turnover anyway. But due to my strategies, I doubt I would be turning over enough anyway. At a guess, around 150k AUD per week, would be absolute max I would think. Used to be higher, but now I am lower turnover, higher POT.
Guessing I can't help. And without knowing exactly why this information was needed, I would be hesitant anyway.

BetHistory (settled horse racing only) -> 27 Jul 09 - 23 Aug 09 (last 4 weeks) -> column stake summarised (USD): 2,697,061 -> 674k/week

You are not searching for matched bets, or at least you shouldn't be. All your bets are settled and no longer matched, hence do a search for all your settled bets instead in that time frame, and all your questions have been answered. :)

Are you going to form a group of millionaire traders to threaten betfair with loss of millions in liquidity each week unless they sort out the premium charge? :o

I have an average of about 155k per week turn over matched. But this will drop shortly as I trade nights and weekends, the night racing is finishing soon which I am not looking forward to.

Cheers

No real updates to give unfortunately. We will continue to try and test the water and see if we can generate interest. When we have some sort of critical mass we will see if we can take it to the next step.
