All exchange shops to close?

Nipped into my local shop today and they told me Betfair are going to stop paying comission to the shops. I doubt many can survive on just seat fees alone. Is this the end of trading shops?

I saw the one in Romford went bust recently and the rest are not exactly lively!

Places where you can go that you can trade from using fast internet speeds.They will almost definatly have TurfTV and SIS pics as well as the shops are mainly used by inrunning people wanting faster pics than RacingUK and ATR for obvious reasons.

Googled Canary Wharf today and noticed that they went into liquidation in April. Seems like the end of an era is upon us.

Anybody know anything about this shop actually at Lingfield racecourse?

There's a new one opening soon in Warrington, I think, so there are still some people doing it.

At forty quid a day (if I've got my facts right) I guess you'd have to be a serious trader to use these sort of places. Way out of my league!

Yeah, I got an e-mail from them about it. They are claiming that the closure is down to landlord issues though rather than anything to do with Betfair.
