Hi all

Thanks as always for any and all help

I have three questions with regards to automation and the interaction with markets that close

Suppose in football I have two different bots, one applied to the O/U0.5 market and another the next goal up - O/U1.5

When the goal goes in the first market becomes closed, and I would like the first bot to send a signal to the second one to advise of this fact, and get it to do something

a) Will the first bot still be working even if the market is closed (so that it can send the signal)?
b) If it is still working, how does the first bot know that it's market is closed? (suspended I understand, but closed?)
c) Can previously closed goal markets become un-closed (for instance following VAR review)?

Take a look at this for an idea of how to do it. It uses the existance (or not) of one market to send a signal to another

c) No, they only close on a final result, they just suspend for VAR etc

Hi Shaun

Thanks for the ideas, and the clarification on VAR - much appreciated

I had already thought about amending Lee Cal's goal scanner looking at the correct score market to trigger the actions for the O/U0.5 and O/U1.5 to send signals that these would pick up. And that may well be the more elegant solution downstream (because at say 0-1 I could be looking to start doing something on the O/U2.5s still triggered by an amended version of Lee's very useful scanner)

But I am still trying to take baby steps in automation, and was thinking of how in the short term just to do this with just the two original bots (one on the current score line and the second the next goal above). And if the first market closed (rather than suspended), the only reason (other than the match being over) would be if a goal had been scored.

And so I was trying to think how a bot knew if its market was closed, hence the original questions. But you have started to make me think that going for the more elegant C/S linked approach may be the better way forward anyway. Thanks!
