I notice that Berts wealth hasn't increased significantly since last year according to the Times Rich List published yesterday...he is still 'only' worth £185m!

Maybe Bert has been causing the spikes recently trying to increase his position in the list!! :D

Quite possibly! LOL! :)

BTW, does anyone know if Bert uses Betfair himself? If so, surely it would be a conflict of interest (if Betfair started a race early, before Bert had closed his trade, for example!). Not that such things ever happen...

Ha! Wouldnt surprise me if he had the odd dabble!..although probably not this week..I read somewhere that he is on holiday in Montego bay...Nice!

He has said on his blog that he backs his horses at times and other horses, I would assume he would use Betfair.

Got a friend who wants to leave a comment on Bert's blog - does anyone know where you sign up to leave comments as I can't see anywhere and nor can he.

It says 'Leave a reply' at the bottom of the page, and there's a link to a login box: http://www.bertsblog.co.uk/wp-login.php ... owman.html

I think you can get a Word Press username and password from this link: http://wordpress.com/

Don't suppose anyone knows how to do this - my friend tried this and they say that signing up to Wordpress didn't work. Haven't tried it myself so they could be doing it incorrectly but does anyone know? Can PM if you want.

Bert has been off the executive board for some time, so if you want to write to him about Betfair you wont get far. You need to go to David Yu or an executive board member.

He lives a mile down the road from me and I mostly see him in hi visibility cycling gear pushing those pedals hard! on a bike that could be descibed as a five bar gate! ( he is a big guy)

Yeah I know that, it isn't anything to do with me wanting to contact him. I have a friend who wants to comment on the mating plans of his broodmares as he is a bit of a pedigree/breeding buff who I lived with at Uni and who was on my Darley Flying Start course but he just can't figue out for the life of him how to comment on the blog.

I know the blog used to be public until it was attacked by angry Betfair users over the Premium Charge so I can understand it being restricted but people comment on the blog so it must be possible some how???

Did you read his blog entry about Killi? Sounded like he found it pretty tough going - worth a read. Had hoped to climb Killi myself this year but had to change plans :( Good effort from him though!

Are you ever tempted to knock him off his bike on a Wednesday morning after the Premium Charge is taken :lol:

You've probably already tried this, but how about emailing [email protected]?

I once emailed Charles Dunstone, Carphone Warehouse's founder, and got a reply from the man himself, so you never know... :)

He is more interested in commenting on the blog itself as he would like to discuss his horses with him and other readers when Andrew posts about them as opposed to just contacting him as a one off.

But cheers anyway - just thought someone on here might be one of 'the chosen few' who can comment on the blog.
