cross matching and virtual odds question

I've read through the explanations of cross matching on the bf developer site and some of the old threads on here but still not sure about some things. For instance, in the example below as I understand it I could lay the second and third by the right amounts to effectively back the fav at about 1.669, but because this doesn't quite amount to an extra tick then cross matching won't automatically give me these odds if I just back the fav at 1.01? Also, is the virtual money that's available at these odds included in the amount available to back at 1.66? Thanks

Runner 1: 1.66, 1.67
Runner 2: 3.40, 3.45
Runner 3: 8.8, 9
