Hi,
Have been seeing a lot of chat about compounding and I'm wondering if any of you lads can suggest any good books on the subject?
I'm looking for books specifically on compounding so if anyone has any suggestions let me know!
Ta
Books on Compounding?
Are there books about compounding?
I thought it's just a mathematical function and not much to write about it?

I would say your best place to look is YouTube. About compounding or what I have is a simple spreadsheet I just record my trades adjust my balance and bet / trade and trade 5% off the bank,

Agreed ... it put about as "the magic of compounding" or that there is something mystical about it that guarantee riches. It's simple if you have £1000 and it returns 5% you will have £1050 and if that then returns 5% you will have £1102.50 i.e. the same as someone who started with £1050 in the first place. There's nothing mystical nor magical about it.
The thing about compounding and which is why you might have heard a lot about it is if you have a good strategy, finding lots of value in your trades/bets etc. you can grow your bank roll very fast. In value betting which is what I mostly do, my ROI is around 9% so I try and turnover my bank as many times as I can, I can usually double my bank every 2/3 months because of compounding.
This is a good site for some basic simulations

We had a very lengthy discussion about compounding with Nivi7 (hope he doesn't appear at the same time as Luke), but it's really just second nature. For centuries people have been growing their businesses, the Romans didn't need a mathematician to tell them they can expand their empire.

LOL It might take 20 mins just to iceberg in your stake

There's probably a PhD student out there somewhere that would love that problem for their thesis: how do you maximise your returns for a given market & risk appetite when constrained by market liquidity.

Thankfully I'm not a complete moron who thinks compounding is either a strategy or is mystical.
Was just interested in the concept and was looking to dig a little deeeper into it.
Thanks to those of you who offered some suggestions and posted links, will take a look
Cheers
