Gold Coast off once again. Maybe they need a roof.

Something tells me that the track there is cooked, which isn't a surprise considering its massive workload. A bit of rain and it disintegrates. SEQ badly needs a synthetic track.

Next race at Doomben moved to 5:17 Sydney time.

Volumes are high, but the fill rate isn't

Two-time AFL premiership winning coach, Denis Pagan, turned hobby trainer, has trained the winner of the Derby at 73. A fairly remarkable story.
Amazing story. Plus he is the owner, sweet pay day for Denis. Just checked, purchased for $50,000 - now winnings of $1.2 million.

Thunderstorm heading towards Rosehill.
Huge clap of thunder here (12 miles from track), but rain lasted all of 3 minutes.
Stacks of lightening and scary thunder now - appropriate for Halloween 🎃 👻 Wonder if Rosehill will keep going.

Can anyone think of a reason why this site would list all the thoroughbred tracks apart from Pioneer Park (NT) ?

From the Slack channel: Dynamic Odds are now, again*, offering a service at Flem where you can see how many horses have moved into the gates, and therefore better predict when the race is going to start (BFAU is trying to incorporate this tech into their own platform in the future)

* they stopped offering this b/c covid

(I have nothing to do with DO, but used to be a customer**)

(** disclaimer added because I just mocked someone for shilling in a different thread!)
