Extra laying bet

Hi all,

I have just made my first back / lay on the ladder before a horserace and whilst watching the race I noticed that my winnings / greening should have been 0.94 across all horses, regardless of outcome, but what was showing was 0.94 on my horse and 0.30 on the others. After watching the video it showed to click on that trade column and all the green figures should have moved 0.94 over all horses. Instead it asked to me make a small lay bet again, as it was only 0.4p I did this, this then gave the figure of 0.94p over all horses, meaning this is what I would win regardless of outcome. My question is why did I need to make a further small lay for this to happen? Thanks in advance
