A better day. It's odd sometimes I have a really good day, despite tip toeing around all the clashes, I had an 80% hit rate, and I know what I did wrong on 2 of the losses.
Try and repeat tomorrow...

From what I can remember, the markets were better yesterday: stronger races, fields and liquidity, which made them easier to predict. The clashes didn't seem to change the pattern of the money coming in much either.

Bit trickier today, only 69% SR, but still some profit

I had a lot more losses today too, some low quality stuff. My least favourite is the superficially competitive kind, got caught in a few of those. I usually like Exeter and do alright at Ayr. Looking forward to the Irish racing on the TV tomorrow, should shore up some of the leaky markets.

My usual mess is back, two days of making £X, then today SR 32%, and losses bigger than winners, and lost -£3X

I'm going to try something radical tomorrow, by not looking at the Betfair charts, just trade the ladder... I think the charts are giving me a losing bias...

Were you basing the support / resistance only on the charts, then? That can work sometimes, but if you're in a trade before the money comes in then they are practically meaningless. It also depends on the race type and the meeting. The money will likely come in a lot earlier at Cheltenham tomorrow, for example, but ITV races are always more stable markets.

Which markets and prices were your biggest losers today?

I think our trading styles are quiet similar. Going through the thread it seems like every day that you found it tough, I also did too. Im starting to learn from my mistakes and managed to turn the result around today but a couple of months ago a day like today would have wiped my bank out.

If you can figure out how to deal with days like today then there is nothing stoping you from being successfull.

didn’t get involved today due to finishing late from work, (those big rolls won’t deliver themselves y’know.. 🧻🧻🧻)

did you wait til last race had finished?

Mostly did yes, but some were very close, probably should have avoided those

Just trading a few Chelms just using ladder, and I feel as though I am just gambling, I'm lost without my beloved Betfair chart!

I'm realising I haven't got a clue on the ladder, I can see short term 10 second momentum, but can't see how you can predict trends

do you use the advanced charts?

i have a quick glance at the betfair charts, but thats it, i have the advanced candle charts pinned to the bottom of the ladder with the money graph for each horse, so i can quickly glance whats been moving recently and whos getting the most money on them?

i find them a lot more usefull than a betfair chart
