3,850m flat race at MV is something we don't see in Australia very often. Is that 10 laps of the goat track?

As an aside... why would the schdule Newcastle 3 mins after this race's schduled start time? Madness.
I assumed that they schedule harness and gallops independently?

Delay at Canterbury: stewards 'need to re-boot the video system'. :?

In Australia there's two primary channels owned by TAB: Sky Racing 1 & 2. Whilst thoroughbreds are generally favoured on Sky 1, they do run plenty of harness racing and greyhound meetings on the channel, too.

For tonight, SKY 1 is taking Mildura and Newcastle harness, and Sky 2 is taking Albury and Hobart harness.

Sky 2 on busy nights has all sorts of racing from around the world. This means if a race is a couple of minutes late on Sky 1, unless it's a metro thoroughbred race, it ends up on Sky 2.. and often a split screen (really a 1/4 screen) where you can see nothing. Terrible for an in-play trader.

Things never used to be so bad before Sky decided they needed to take images from Japan, Sweden, Germany and gods knows where else, alongside doggy races from Humpty-doo.

Also, since the creation of Racing.com, Sky seem to have a special hatred for Vic and SA thoroughbreds and love to kick them onto Sky 2 to show horses in NSW leave the saddling enlcosure.

These trotting/carriage/harness races down under must be open to corruption

They are tradeable but I'm sure they are not clean.

There have been a number of arrests in the last couple of years for race fixing, it's colloquially known as 'cheats in seats'. It's been cleaned up a bit but I'm quite sure there is plenty of dodgy stuff still going on.

36 NSW races from 5 tracks in upcoming session, allowing for higher selectivity than usual.
Potential for a PB from chips available although would take 3% if offered to me right now.

Gundagai is top of my league but turnover is low. Will be interesting to see how it trades on a weekend.

They are called the 'red hot trots' for a reason.

Who cares whether they're clean as long as they're tradeable. :)
