this has happened so many times now, and they are having markets open til 9 mins before off times when the site isn't working properly ? their t&c's are a joke and i'm starting to think there's an element of corruption involved in all these outages, city of london police are you watching ?

This is beyond a joke - also when the site came back up for 30mins or so there was no mention of any problem on their Service Forum as far as I could see - so their customers are continually in the dark. They almost seem embarassed to tell people of any problems - what I think is very wrong is when the system blows up they get mega commission from traders open positions - so they can profit out of a crash - that is not right.

Probably moving their money to Betdaq

As it would not be "normal" to take this from any service.

Imagine if it was you Gas Suppier. You would move to another wouldn't you

Betfair have us by the balls. They provide a joke of a service - how many times in the last 6 weeks or so have Saturdays been a right off? What options are available to traders to make their position felt? Strike (e.g. withdrawal of funds for 3 days)? Why won't traders ever strike? Because we are a bunch of money junkies and if there was ever a mass strike a few scabs would always be in the markets scooping up the mug money. Betdaq? Having a mass movement of traders to betdaq wouldn't work either as you also need plenty of mug money to skim off. Complain? Ha, Betfair have proven beyond doubt they don't give a fck. Court? Again, Betfair have us by the balls. We agreed to the T&Cs.

At the last Q&A I sent in questions saying they should consider giving the commission away to charities relating to the sports they get it from and it would make people a lot more happy that they weren't profiteering from the outages and also I suggested they leave up messages for at least 12 hrs about site problems if not 24hrs so people could check them, also live twitter feeds as these are run independently of BF so would still be available and with regular updates - their reply :?:

They ignored me totally - sums their attitude up to customers I felt.

Well this has put the tin hat on it I came into the market mid way through all this not realising there were major problems.

Sandown 15:35 has seen me all in, the market suspended and of course the wrong horse won. I have not gone down by a great amount but it's all relative to the level at which your trading.

I'm kicking myself I did not check the forum prior opening a trade. Well that's me done like kipper I hope no one has lost any real money in this debacle.

I think I'll take up sailing at least you get the chance to stand in a cold shower before ripping up £50 notes.

I think we should all take next week off,
that would teach them.

The site will most likely not be able to cope anyway.

Save yourself some money and cost them some for a change ;) .

they really need to level with people as to the nature of these problems. they are obviously not volume related problems (as we used to get regularly on Saturdays in the past).

they obviously don't have a backup system that they can immediately switch over to (or least one that works), like financial trading exchanges do.

I hoped that after the major upgrades that days like today would be a thing of the past.
