What happens at 2mins to post?
I've noticed for some time now the markets jump at exactly 2mins. Prices jump sometimes by large amounts ...
It's as if Betfair do a sudden load of cross matching?
Random Race from today with rough numbers but what you're probably seeing some good liquidity. Bottom row is avg per second.

I'll be trading the full session manually tomorrow.  Historically had a tough time in these markets but have a good idea about what I want to do & will try my best to wait for the quality stuff to show up.  Bots working the in-play stuff so less pressure to produce the bacon than has been in the past; may be a factor.

Expecting a fair amount of small losses but hopefully hit the odd medium-large sized profit to make up for them by the end of the day.  No idea if I'll be profitable or not.  Remind me to post results.

No it's something very distinct at 2 mins to the very second. Surely people have noticed it?
I reckon Betfair do some sort of cross match dump or something...
I repeatedly see the prices of the top 3 favs jump at exactly 2mins. For example pre2mins say they were:
2.6
4.7
5.9
Suddenly on 2mins the prices literally jump to say:
3.0
4.0
6.6
Im wondering if it's my API stream doing a funny on me now!?

I've not seen it but I've got the data so I'll check to see if I can spot anything.

Will do! I've just pulled 3 random races and couldn't see much but that means nothing. I'll be like a dog trying to find it's bone now

I've been on good terms with the market these last 10 days, much better than whats normal but for the life of me I can't step up to the plate on those shorties.

Numbers look good. Am I right in saying this means you took 12 trades today from 30+ markets watched ?

PS Try adding a column with the formula: (sum of profits) / ((sum of profits) + abs(sum of losses)) it's a better performance indicator than strike rate.

Yeah that's correct, 12 trades total.

I've got all of those columns, I just chose not to show you guys my tiny profits :D

You're more selective than me, that's probably a good sign haha. I reckon I'll touch at least 30 markets today. Limiting myself to 3 trades / mkt though.

btw the formula I posted is a %, include it in future SS; it's my main metric so I'll be able to see how you're getting on / improving over time :)

Excited for first day trading on new setup, although gonna plug away until end of the week before I take a look at how I fared.

Sandown traded well today. Lots of garbage on during the week at this time of year.

abs?
The absolute value of a number.

abs(-20.25) = 20.25
