Standard connection vs VPS

Hi All,

Just out of interest in peoples opinion/experience, how big of a difference is there in speed when using Automation through a standard connection or the VPS? And would programmers have the upper hand on both?

Response time through my Bet Angel VPS is around 10ms-15ms
From my PC or laptops its around 20ms-25ms

That 10ms can make all the difference in very volatile markets I suppose

I would depend on the strategy but I wouldn't worry over it as Betfair cache data now, so no matter how fast you called the API it won't make any difference you would just get stale cached data.

Basically speed as an advantage in this way has gone a long time ago.
