Why did automation back twice when greening?

I've been trying a few of the bots from the forum over the past few weeks, tweaking here and there and generally just getting to grips with it. I've been trying out this Fill The Gap dog bot with some success recently- but looking at the BA log, something went a bit weird on this race?

All on £2 stakes so the resulting loss of £1.88 isn't horrific but I'd like to know what made it do that so I know how to prevent it when I start increasing stakes! Any thoughts welcome cheers.

Looks like odds were jumping about a bit and with the small stakes was having trouble get it greened up evenly before the Green up rule triggers ran out.

Was the market on your trading screen at the time, or one of just a few being refreshed in Guardian

It was just in Guardian being refreshed in the background, i wasnt even at the screen at the time. Does it make a difference having the market open then? Would it actually be better upping the stakes a bit so it rounds up/down better?

If you have a load of markets in Guardian make sure you have a fast refresh rate set and maybe even use 'Restricted Refresh' to focus it just the markets rules are triggering on, this posts explains further

It may also have been it wasn't getting your matched bet info back from Betfair quick enough so firing another green up bet (only for that matched bet update to arrive a fraction of a second later)

Thanks I normally set it to 500ms refresh but it does seem to default to 1 sec refresh, maybe I forgot to change this time, can’t remember now. I’ll look at Restricted refresh as well. Thanks for the advice.

Once you change the Guardian refresh rate if you re-save your main settings profile it will remember it
I'd set it at 200ms or 20ms if you've got streaming enabled
