nice peter!!

Although I wasn;t neccessairly just asking you to post a screenshot in disguise!! I just meant in general! Trading has only been promoted historically by people posting screenshots of their trading and otherss eeing them and thinking hey thats clever how do I do that. If more people starting putting screenshots up of betdaq in general it would encourage newbies to start there IMHO

If every screenshot you saw this week from people on blogs was from betbaq how much more likely would you be to give it a go either next big meeting or an afternoon next week????

Ok, here goes

I've just lumped a wedge of money into Betdaq

I'm gonna give them 3-4 months serious trading.
That gives me until the end of the footy season & 2 Grand Slams

I'll post my findings

Are you going to be trading Betfair at the same time?

People talk about Betfair and Betdaq as an either/or. But surely it's possible with some markets (such as those where you're not having to constantly keep an eye on what's happening) to trade both simultaneously.

I've got the same amount of money in both accounts, so will use Betfair when Betdaq don't have that market open.

I'll give them a fair shot.
In all fairness, it's nice having both BA windows open without piling up data usage charges

Actually, I'm not sure about that. I can not really class myself as a Newbie any longer, but whilst I can show a profit in illiquid markets, as soon as anybody with any ability turns up, green turns to red. It may be just me, but I suspect that most Newbies can't turn a profit in high liquidity events, where they're simply outplayed. There again, you never know,

cheers, P

For the first time ever today that I have earned more on Betdaq than on Betfair which was a surprise. Nice to give it a proper crack for once, I think it works well during the big meetings.

Hi
I'm going to have a crack at Betdaq too...is there any chance in updating BA for Betdaq a little...being able to select all the days horse racing markets would be a real time saver rather than one at a time?

I realise that you cant spend too much time on this product as it diverts your focus from BA for Betfair..would this be a quick win ? (Sorry not sure how complex it would be to implement?)

Other thoughts: It may be that you offer BA for Betdaq as a standalone product charged separately??

Hi Folks

Just got this from Betdaq

We hope you had a great start to the Cheltenham Festival. We certainly did with more than £4.25 million matched in the Supreme Novice hurdle win market alone.

Our liquidity has never been stronger so why not check out BETDAQ for Day 2 of the festival and take advantage of great exchange prices and the lowest commission rates.

Hi Dobbin

I got it too. Think they’ve been reading these posts and getting worried

Well spent the best part of 6 or 7 hours building a spreadsheet for Betdaq...ran it on the first race to day. It stopped placing bets and received the following :-

16/03/2011 13:38:11: An error occurred while getting changed bets: <406> BETDAQ cannot process your request as you are currently calling their servers too frequently and have been temporarily black-listed

That was a good use of time! :(

Blacklisted? :o

You'd have thought they'd have at least expressed it in less candid language, and come out with some doublespeak about a 'fair usage policy'!

In fairness to Betdaq, they responded quickly to my email asking for guidance as to the thresholds. They said :-

PlaceOrdersNoReceipt = 1000 [count of all calls made to the PlaceOrdersNoReceipt ]
PlaceOrdersWithReceipt = 1000 [count of all calls made to the PlaceOrdersWithReceipt]
Combined = 1500 [count of all calls made to the api]
Any=1000 [count of calls to any api other than PlaceOrders calls].
ListBootstrapOrders=50
GetEventSubTreeNoSelections=20

So BA Support is there a way of throttling the account from your end or advise how we utilse BA for Betdaq better please??

Regards
Peter
