Spurs have a bit of task in the second leg but what a result from Schalke! Was expecting Inter to struggle but that scoreline is a bit embarrassing!

Crouch let them down big time, it was already a near impossible task then he does that.

How stupid can you be :?

The Spurs game was the funniest night of European Football I have ever experienced! I don't mean that as a disrespectful comment at Spurs or their fans, my laughter was caused by Ray Wilkins who was so banal and repetitive in his comments that he had me falling about.

The laughter was shared on twitter and #raywilkins and his constant comment #stayonyourfeet trended worldwide last night. Some of the comments were gems and I have never enjoyed a game of football as much as I did last night.

If you want some fun then join Twitter because it can be hilarious.

On a serious note, you can also get breaking news quicker on Twitter than you can from the normal media.

I know and he also gave a real nugget of advice when he said "if the player is injured then you may as well take him off"  So don't leave him on limping then...now I know what substitutes are for!

Priceless!

Very lively start to Chelsea v Man Utd. I may have to re-appraise things on this match.

Chelsea should avoid Half Time if possible.

Man U lucky to escape with a 1-0 win, but the tie is probably over with an away win.

I thought United were good value for the win.
Was definitely a penalty for Chelsea but they have had many breaks over the past few years particularly aqgainst united so was nice to see someone else get a bit of luck tonight.

Anyone notice Ferdinand's reference to Butch Wilkins after the game when he said "we need to go to Old trafford and stay on our feet". Classic!

Signor Mallenco rarely gives penalties against English sides.
He is a low profile referee trying to get to his swansong next year. His booking of fellow countryman in last minute was a desperate attempt at impartiallity.

I imagine most traders factor this in to their strategy anyway but a penalty was never on the cards in an otherwise clean game.
Televised champion league games are about more than a football game for referees for analytical psychologists such as Mallenco.

I fancy a few goals in the Spurs vs Real Madrid match. I'll watch the first 20 mins or so and make a decision from there. You get the feeling Spurs have nothing to lose by attacking Real for all they are worth.

Yeah Should be a few goals in both games, Inter have nothing to lose either.

Spurs haven't done enough yet to show they can turn this around. Mourinho seems to have got the Madrid players to player a little more aggressively and that seems to have snuffed out a bit of Spurs vigour.
