Hi all
This is my first post and forgive my lack of knowledge!!
I’ve been doing various types of betting for a few years now using various methods and strategies. Match betting, Lay betting and followed a number of different tipsters for backing and Laying.
I made decent money at the beginning but the last few months has been a bit of a fight tbh.
I recently started backing and laying before the off on horse racing (scalping)? I think you pros call it?and have made profit but only small amounts
My question is how would the software actually help me ?
I’ve watched various videos but can’t see the difference in what I’m doing now.
Obviously I don’t have a clue and this is why I ask
Thanks for any help or advise

Software just allows you to do things quicker and a little more efficiently, whether that's winning or losing is usually down to you not the software.

Trading without software is like flipping channels without a remote control - absolutely unthinkable! Looking at the best 3 prices is like having blinkers on, you don't get a full view of what's going on in the market.

Forgive me for saying so but the question seems so strange:

You say you've 'watched various videos' but still can't see benefits. It's like an accountant or book-keeper who's never used a computer being shown a demo of a spreadsheet but can't see how it could be helpful. Or someone who lives in the countryside takes the bus a lot to travel long distances between work, home and other destinations with a lot of walking in between stops saying I can't see how a car may be useful to me.

There are so many videos on Youtube demonstrating the capabilities of the software, if they can't give you the info you need nothing else can.

Another thing you can do is look at the shared automation files section. The creators explain what each file does. these files are available to download for your use and can be modified to suit particular needs.

Use the software to do exactly what you are doing now if it is profitable and you will be surprised.

I am with Derek... I have used a strategy using the web prior to bet angel. My strike rate has improved massively because I can see so much more with software. That itself is an edge to me.

The data scientist guys at Betfair Australia asked that very question.

I wouldn't want to trade without software & further to that, no other software has the flexibility of BetAngel... its not even close, trading without it is the equivalent to restricting your potential. Absolute no brainer.

Makes sense, the users that are mainly desktop or mobile users will be punters whereas Bet Angel users will mainly ( I assume), be traders.
I sure would not use desktop or mobile apps or stanard betting sites.

I'm certainly not a pro trader. I bought BetAngel a few months back and it was certainly worth the money. I've easily made back the money I spent and more. In the time I've had bet angel I've built one successful bot and have another one that looks promising. The bots profits are modest, but it is easily enough to cover the cost of the software which is all that's needed to justify it's purchase for me.

For me the main advantages of using software were as follows:
  • Market updates in the milliseconds range. On the website I think the maximum refresh rate you can set is 15 seconds. This is woefully inadequate for pre horse race trading. Compare that with bet angel which allows you to refresh every few milliseconds. Already, you are getting market information far quicker than any website user. This gives you a clear edge.
  • Automation. Some strategies don't lend themselves to automation well. But many do. Why sit there and click buttons like a chump when you could have a bot perform the actions for you while you do something else. Building a successful bot is not trivial in bet angel, but it is a hell of a lot easier than coding it yourself from scratch, and the rewards for getting it right are fantastic. Passive income - the dream come true.
  • EPIQ: Estimated position in queue. If you are going to do scalping, this feature is essential in my opinion. If you want to minimise the amount of time you are exposed to risk (the time between your opening and closing bet being matched), you need to be able to make a fair estimate of how long it will take a bet to be matched. EPIQ helps with this immensely
BetAngel seems expensive at first, but if you are going to become a successful trader, software is essential in my view. It doesn't guarantee success, but it will certainly increase the chances of it. Of course, a bad trader will still lose money no matter how good the software he/she is using. But if you don't think you have what it takes to be a good trader, you probably wouldn't be trading in the first place.

If you are still unsure, why not try out the free version? It's missing a huge amount of features that the full version has, but you can at least see the advantages of getting quick refresh rates.
