It's early days, but it's looking like Hernandez might be the next Rooney or Ronaldo.

It would be great if he and Berbatov forced Rooney out of the starting 11!

If Rooney didn't like it, he could leave on a £50 million transfer, and United would use the funds to buy some talented, eager and unspoilt young players.

Hernandez is one of the most talented youngsters I have seen and it was a great deal that Man Utd bought him before the WC. He is pure talent.

Here in Mexico el chicharito has become a national hero. There isn't a day that goes by without him being on the front of every newspaper.

Champion league games were only shown on ESPN but now United games are being shown on normal Mexican tv.

His attitude is excellent with SAF and his team mates telling the media that he is the first player to training and the last one to leave. When being interviewed you can see the passion for football and his desire to make it at United.

Let's hope he keeps that focus and does reach is full potential.

The article compares Hernandez with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. I'd say a better comparison is with Van Nistlerooy - for a full 90 minutes, he's lethal in front of goal, and has plenty of physical presence too.

I think Ferguson has the basis of a really good team again. Not sure he will retire just yet with the team he currently has.

I think the reason Man U are arguably still the best team in the country, despite City and Chelsea's spending power, is because Fergie has an ability to spot and nurture talent.

Take Ronaldo. He had lots of raw ability when he joined Man U, but his play was often sloppy. Fergie turned him into arguably the best player in the world.

Up front, Man U are world class.

I'm not so confident about the midfield and defence, however.

In midfield, Giggs and Scholes are still as skillful as ever, but they don't have the legs they once did. Also, I'm not convinced there are any class players waiting in the wings to replace them. Nani and Carrick (when he's fit) are very good, but IMHO there are also players like Fletcher and Park Ji Sung who work hard, but lack brilliance.

In defence, Vidic and Ferdinand are world class (although the latter's injury problems are a worry), but the other defenders are nothing to write home about IMHO.

In goal, Van Der Sar is world class, but it remains to be seen how much longer it will be before he retires...

For sure Ferguson has a great eye for talent, but Man U as a club is so strongly rooted in the idea that the club comes first and it expects success based on it pedigree, which is second to none basically. Ferguson has a huge role to play in that, but the result is their record. Name a player who would not like to play for Man U. And i am not a fan of theirs.

Hernandez is certainly an exciting player and I like the Ronaldo comparison.
