Thankfuly my automation on the footy has just closed all positions so now I may be able to concentrate on the final few races. I can barely think of anything other than how the automation is going on.

It's not doing bad atm although it's very early days. Got hit hard just before HT, until around 40 mins it was doing really well. Better leave it there though as this isn't the correct thread.

doing something thats produced not the expected result...... but dont know why, ..... testing some strategy for lay to back... so far today in the first 2 races that showed a selection for a lay to back ...........

Can anyone give me a reason why Three Platoon is around 1.6? I just can't work out these short priced favs with no form, no weight advantage being so short.

Usually, it is because of breeding. Something in the genetics makes punters think it should run well over the course of distance.

Thank you! The breeding side is an area I've not really looked at. Maybe it wouldn't do any harm to see what info I can find around the internet.

Timeform Pro said Three Platoon would run Behind and given there was no form or weight advantage I was scratching my head as to why it was so low in the odds. Maybe this is where I'll look to automate some L2B in running trades at some point.

Does anyone knows which days during the year there are no UK and Irish races? Is it only the 24th & 25th December or are there other days as well such as 1st January etc? Are the Australian races off as well during the same time?

Can't say for the Aus racing but its only Christmas eve/day there is no UK and IRE on now.
If i remember rightly they switched from Christmas eve to Good Friday a few years ago

Somone just made an expensive rookie mistake on George Ridsdale I think. I was watching them scalp with around 2k pre off, they didn't get it out of the market before the off so I assume they hit "Keep Bet" sat at 3s the whole race and only got nibbled. Someone is gonna be unhappy.
