The two extr Irish meetings have made today too busy imo. Not done as well on the non Cheltenham markets today as I have the last couple of days. Having a race going off 5 mins before Cheltenham is a bit stupid imo.

I doubt it, but I had my best day this week and had three small losses on those stupid races inbetween.

I'll take back what I said about favourite volumes in a previous post, as I was using price adjusted volume in the previous calculation (which I spotted this evening) so I'd say there is no more or less money being traded on the favourites this year.
Thanks again Peter for useful stats. It sounds to me from your experiences on Betdaq that liquidity is up considerably on there. I know you may not have stats for BD but what is your general feel about liquidity in these markets v last year ?

I have the strange feeling that LONG RUN is going to win today...I will place my last bet and I will try to enjoy the best day of the year ( in terms of horse racing). If Imperial Commander, Midnight Chase or Long run won today I will cash out a nice £2,707.67....finger cross.....good luck all today..ciao

Enzabella, you may well be right as I think that the previous winners of the Gold Cup could be vulnernable to a younger up and coming rival.
The one question mark for me over Long Run is his jumping, although he does seem to have ironed out the flaws in his jumping that were probably a result of him learning to jump over the less demanding french fences. On that basis I will watch the first few fences and have an in-running punt if he gets into a nice rhythm with his jumping.

I am with Long Run as well, no financial interest, just hope he wins, time for a changing of the guard I feel.

What's your downside on those bets?

Good Luck!

The value bets are Midnight Chase and Pandorama. Midnight Chase as a game in-form course specialist, Pandorama as a class horse.

Probably best to stick with greatest class at the end of the day though. Hard to go past 'Imperial Commander'. Certainly his price is too long at the moment, he will definitely steam in, possibly all the way to $4.

my downside is a £2000 loss. I see It as an extra investiment considering yesterday best day I have ever had...
Imperial commander 5.3, LONG RUN 5.9 MIDnight chase 15.0
I will be too drunk by 15.20 so, I won`t be around today... I wish you all the make tons of money...good luck.

I like to get involved with the gold cup - its the only outright "bet" I have in the year and adds a bit of excitement to the day.

I will have an each way bet before the off with my girlfriend, we will be each way Long Run and Kempes! £10 on each!!!
