Hi Guys,
So my first foray into automation was a success on laying the draw for a football match played yesterday and greening up after the first goal was scored. I used Peter's very helpful video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXsxiE9dPHw&t=308s and it worked a treat (by the way I'm using BetDaq Bet Angel).
So I tried to re-use the same rule for today's Palace v Leicester match and after warning that the rule was still associated with yesterday's game, I edited the rule to apply to this match. As expected, the rule kicked in 5 minutes before start of play but just under 2 minutes later this happened (when no event had occurred!)...........................
28/12/2020 14:55:02: £ 50 Lay bet placed on Draw at 3.6. Fully matched at 3.6. Ref: 7111712261
28/12/2020 15:00:15: Guardian has detected that the market is in-play
28/12/2020 15:01:49: Greened up Draw by Backing 48.65 at 3.7
Anyone come across this from re-using an existing rule and know why it happens?
Many thanks
Well That wasn't expected!!
If you apply the rule by 'Betdaq row index' you'll be able to use it on multiple matches at the same time and it won't be associated with a single match like when applying a rule by name.
In all football markets the selections always appear in the same row number, so for the draw that is always 'Betdaq row index 2'
I'd assume the video shows how to set up the green up rule if in profit?
Which would normally only happen after a goal, untill then the odds wil just shorten from KO, but from you log its clear they drifted out a bit so triggered your green up rule on this occasion,
There are several thing you can do if you find this happening to often, the easiest is to arm the green up rule a few mins after the market has gone in-play.
You could also add a historical relative odds condition to test the;
Selections price now
is greater than
selections price 65 secs ago
plus 8 ticks
basically looking for a 8 tick increase in price within 65secs, which would only happen if there was a goal
