A place to discuss anything.

A topic on which I don't see much discussion, interested to hear other's thoughts.

Probably just depends on the size or strength of one's edge and the overall confidence levels.

My warm-up involves powering up my computers and logging in. Absolutely crucial - I wouldn't trade without completing it. ;)

How do you define your edge Kai? Is it particular set ups, or signals? I don't mean the specifics, rather the framework for how you define it.

The muscles must be warmed up for maximum efficiency if you are going to use them intensely, but if you do not feel mentally prepared, it is hard to believe that you will ''warm up" in a very short time.

By quantifying it (knowing where it's coming from). Sure, some of it can be defined by patiently waiting for the right setups and signals, but this would depend on type of market and approach.

However, on my most traded market I would define it very differently with mostly just pattern recognition combined with muscle memory, which is still order flow trading in a nutshell. So for me that would be the opposite approach, where the only "setups" you need are suitable price ranges and some market noise and volatility.

Doesn't matter much what approach you like to use, as long as it produces +EV (in the long run).

If you think a certain preparation or whatever will help you produce +EV, then do it :)

I do very little prepping for day to day racing, but do a lot for major meetings: -
