Does anyone know of a (legal!) way of copying the free data relating to particular trainers and horses at http://www.timeform.com/free/ to a spreadsheet?
Thanks
Jeff
Timeform data
It can be done by writing an program in C# or VB which directly accesses the Timeform.NET library - this is obviously fairly time consuming though. See:

Thanks Dan
I don't suppose you know of a guide for complete beginners that explains how to do that?
Basically, what I'm trying to do is to generate a spreadsheet that will tell me for (say) AP McCoy all the information relating to his rides that's on the free part of the site.
Thanks
Jeff

Sorry, I just checked the last page of that thread and it seams that the .NET library service has now been revoked which is annoying because that's where I've accumulated most of my data from!
It's worth looking through this forum as there are people on here who have created spreadsheets that screenscrape data from various websites.
