hi everybody
I'd like to know what you people are doing to be in top form (physically) before/during your trading session. I mean drinking coffee, going to gym, yoga, changing your sleeping pattern... There are days that are wonderful. But at times you just kind of reacting too slowly, especially when it goes against you. And you just don't care that much. What do you do in such situation? And if you never encountered one what would be your advise?
thanks

good post!

I find if I get up in the mornings at a decent time (sort of 8amish) have breakfast and go for a swim. About an hour before trading starts slowly start getting everything ready. pc on etc tv pics ready I trade so much better than if I sleep in and don't go to the gym.

I like to get up when my body wants me to get up, if I am woken up by something or someone I tend to set off for the day on the wrong foot. 8am is the middle of the night in my book :)

Then a leisurely breakfast and plenty of fluids, surf the web and do emails etc for about an hour then do some exercise (might do it after trading if I don't in the morning) then shower, perhaps watch a film, xbox, do some jobs etc. Basically just take it easy.

Then get set for trading and make some lunch then settle down for the days trading and eat my lunch in between a few races. Also I drink plenty of water during the afternoon and get up out of my chair even if it is just to go for a pee :) Helps keep the blood flowing and keeps you alert!

If I am slow to react or things arent going as planned I normally realise very quickly and then perhaps take a break. Miss a race or two and go have a cup of tea in a different room and clear my head and come back refocused. It stops the red mist decending.

Sometimes I will just stop altogether if I feel tired and things aren't going well. I then get out of the house altoghter and do somethign different, like go for a bike ride or go to the cinema.

There is always tomorrow to trade and make your million!

thanks for quick replies.
Somebody told me that if you have a meaty lunch, an hour or so after that your reaction slows down because your body is busy with digesting...
