Hi dudes, I have some excel related questions for some footy markets, any info would be much appreciated.
1) If I use Excel to place an order pre-match with offset, fill or kill & greening conditions, in the event of a brief disconnection would my conditions still be active on reconnection?
2) Is there a way to set the bets status to Keep via excel, so that my first order is kept throughout any suspensions at kick off or goals whilst maintaining all conditions?
3) My closure would be in-play, but would essentially be an offset of my first order placed much earlier, well before kick off (perhaps even a few days). Is that possible to automate with Excel? Would I need to keep BA & Excel running throughout the whole time inbetween my first order & closure?
Maintaining conditions & keep settings via Excel?
You are best writing to support so they can deal with your request in the right order. When posting on the forum, queries just end up getting buried under a ton of other posts. I am sure somebody will reply from support.
(1) These instructions are client sided so they will be lost. An alternative is to use a VPS.
(2) You can set Keep bets via Excel and there is a global keep command in Excel. See the user manual for instructions. I don't think Betfair allow permanent keep bets through goals? You can use the saved bets function on Bet Angel for this.
(3) Not if you are keeping a bet but a better solution would be to use Excel to trigger at a specific point in a match when a criteria is met. That seems a more resilient solution.

Thanks for your feedback Euler, it's much appreciated. I'll also wait to see Bet Angel's response.
One issue I have is that I need to get in mega early in order to be near the front of the queue. Saving and resubmitting my bets will push me to the back so keep seems to be my only viable option.
VPS seems pricey although if it can accommodate my tactics then I will need to consider that as an option. Just to clarify, is the VPS guaranteed to not suffer from any dropouts whatsoever? I thought it was just a faster more reliable connection but was still prone to disconnections.
