Anyone got Simon Mignolet's number?

I was worried about a result like that before the game but couldn't have imagined how it came about.

Even with a win today I thought the title was out of reach but now there's a serious worry about making the Top 4.

Not sure how you fix this to be honest.

That's the worst goal-keeping performance for Liverpool I've seen (50 odd years).

I think Karius would have something to say about that

Shame Alisson had to be rushed back for this game so can't fault the guy too much, been a weird season for him, he's been out injured several times already.

Took City long enough to overcome their Liverpool PTSD and have a proper go at their makeshift back 4, Liverpool in this state were there for the taking.

It's been a very scuffed season overall, for most teams, in hindsight the strongest squad on paper should always come out on top in this injury and covid infested season.

Some huge matches coming up for Liverpool next, so things could get much worse before they get better. I'm keeping my personal expectations very low, until I see otherwise :)

Honestly this season was probably lost at board level in the summer, not replacing Lovren seemed a weird move at the time and made me nervous since both Matip/Gomez are very injury prone, thought one of the youngsters would be lined up for it but nope. That decision alone wrecked the back line and the midfield too, all sorts of risks were taken and not much of it worked out. Hopefully now Klopp starts using the 2 new CBs and starts getting the team balance right.

Liverpool available to lay at 1.44 for Top 4 looks a bit skinny to me from a trading perspective.

Chelsea win tonight they're just a point behind, our next game is away to Leicester lose that and Everton will have 3 games in hand and are just 3 points behind.

:-) Yes, sorry. Obliterated that from my memory. I was going back to the bizarreness of Grob and The Flying Pig. But, yes you're right. I do think Mignolet was unfairly treated. His one to one shot-stopping dug our flakey defence out, time after time. But, hey the subject of this thread isn't Liverpool, so I'll leave it there. Mainly 'cos I have some Blade friends. :-)

Yes we should leave some room for supporters of other clubs :)

I'm already moving on to next season with the hope that we're in the Champions League :D

Still rated as a top 3 side in europe, although regressive.

It would help sometimes if referees were allowed to speak to the media after matches, explaining their decisions

When they are so aloof it creates anger, like they're untouchable

I think we'd respect them more if we saw a human side to them

Completely agree. The should at least have a representative who comes out once a week explaining decisions especially in the age of VAR.

Instead we have to make do with ex refs being wheeled out by Sky, BT etc... and they only seem to confuse the issue.
