re: 1:50 Southwell
it looks to be a rule 4, I can see bets in Guardian matched at 3.30 but on the site, it was corrected to 3.17 so 1 of the runners must've been removed.

Go to your betfair "betting history" and select "Void — Closed" from the dropdown, see if anything shows up.

...
Very pleased with myself today — risking small %s of my account & was able to trade more calmly than I can recall for a long time for an afternoon session.

dont think I get this, a reduction, but chap above does not show any differnce in his trade, or does it mean if its in play? there again, if it is in play then the horse that does not go in should not be a factor surely as it is not in play. Bit confused to be honest...
possibly i am wrong, when did he get out of his trade? did you take a trade or green up inplay?
@magtrade
if you bet pre-race and green up in play then get a reduction your pre-race price gets adjusted but your IP one doesn't

I remember a few years back doing that and hedging a huge green figure in-play only to find out market was adjusted and to my horror I now had a fat loss

customer services said it was due to the reduction factor,..... just another spanner in the works, I was sitting there thinking I had a green up and turns out I took a loss after the reduction factor.... starting to think no matter what you cant win.... was so chuffed as well with other results trying a new stategy .... blx .. back to the drawing board

So just to make sure, if you are going to bet in play, your better off better after the off even by a few seconds, rather than just before the off to avoid a situation like this ? TIA

Np. If your entry is always IP you would avoid that in future, yes.
You'd have to decide whether or not the cons (e.g. lower liquidity / price could move away from you before you get on) are worth it.

@beermonsterman
Satruday's typically has bigger prize $ on offer which usually translates to more traded volume overall,

Been some good movement in the first couple cycles but I passed on the 2:20 Southwell hcap.
@beermosterman at the top of your comment ? what does this mean please ?

Was looking like a good strong steady move in on the fav but flipped like a coin drifted out fast then back in I had no live pics on so I guess something happened track side all within the last minuet

Alright then. Monday today; fresh week.

Gonna attempt to trade the full week of UK/IRE racing and see how I fare.

I've tried many times before and always ran into problems but I'm feeling it this week with a better handle on risk in general.

Had an unproblematic day yesterday which is prompting the full week attempt.

Let's see how I get on.  Feel free to keep me accountable and check-in on how I'm doing at any time with a quote.

I'm not seeing much today that is going to tickle the trade taste buds
But things can change
