Well done. Hoping this will be my first positive month after around 2.5 years of trying. Had an awful day yesterday then had to have a hard think about what I was doing different to the previous 5 days and bang today was back on track

There are paid ones (cheap) or you can do it yourself manually

Just download your Betfair P&L then use things like a cumulative total to plot a graph on Excel. I tried it with each individual market but seemed to have too many points so just had to plot it by the cumulative total of each day

I've had a bit of a downturn since I started to do well, just under a month ago. I know it's my head rather than anything else - possibly overconfidence followed by a total lack of it.

I do know I'm over-trading too. So often I catch a small fish, throw it back in the hope of catching a bigger one and end up going home hungry.

Yes I have. My personality is the exact opposite of what's required to be a successful trader but I managed it before (about 11 years ago!) so think I can again.

I hear a lot about cutting losers and letting winners run, but what I dont seem to hear but I know happens is never letter a winning trade become a loser!

I see what your saying about throw it back, but what I have learned from horse racing markets, trade them and if you close out a trade completely never go back in, i.e. when you square up thats it, move on to the next one. If you dont then that winner could become a loser and/or that loser becomes a bigger loser. Stragne thought that big winners never become bigger ones. Suppose its down to treat every market as a seperate event and trade 1 at a time. Good luck

Yes, I completely agree, and that course of action did help to increase my profit so I'll try to knock it on the head today and see what happens. Those little profits help to negate the bigger losses that are due to odd happenings in the market that I couldn't predict happening.

Took yday off; not done well this week. Reflecting on my trades so far I've noticed I'm getting stopped out too easily on the majority of my trades.
My adjustment is to require more strength at current price action before entering, in an attempt to increase my strike rate.  Same for my adds.
I'm expecting this change to mean I'm taking roughly half the trades vs. Mon-Wed.
I will also check my total stake size and current liquidity before all entries/adds to make sure I can fully exit when I need to.

Interesting.  The markets will've changed a lot in 11 years but you must still have the fundamentals roughly in check to produce those results.
Much better than mine so far although my data set is still small — I will throw up my P&L at the end of the month if you remind me.

Keen to hear your continued thoughts and progression if you feel like sharing them.
