Hi guys here is one I would like to get your opinions in on I know this is a trading forum but cash out is a form of trading well a watered down version
I like to do a footie Acca on a Saturday and Tuesday 8 or 10 fold to build odds of around 30/1 I pick my matches so they all kick off at the same time sit back drink beer and enjoy
Now to the point
Scenario
I find myself on some occasions looking into a half decent green on the cash out so I now have 20 mins of play left and I need a couple of late goals but then find that doesn't happen and cash gone and money gone £10 starting bet cash out could of been in the region of £70 .... full win £280
Another scenario
20 mins left I cash out for £80 and then my bet goes on to win loosing £200 profit
my idea is to place the same bet twice so when i find myself in these predicaments I can cash one out and leave the other to run on ???????????
What's your thoughts would this be flawed ?
criticism and comment very welcome please
Have a green day
The cash out x 2 strategy
Maybe just treat it as a purely fun beer bet and keep it like that, I do poker as my punting fun (well, I still take it seriously when playing)
If you did want to salvage the £10 maybe scalp on the exchange against scoreline or under/over market that your bet is against or just arb off against it, that way at least reducing your liability as the cashout function from bookies gives you an awful price (they are bookies after all).

I think a possible solution may exist in your last thought. The way I see it if you have say 6 selections occuring on a particular day and you wanted to bet on all of them. It's more likely that 1 or more of your selections may let you down than all of them succeed.beermonsterman wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 8:22 amHi guys here is one I would like to get your opinions in on I know this is a trading forum but cash out is a form of trading well a watered down version

Maybe a compromise would be to take the £10, stake £8 on an acca which if it's showing a decent cashout, you take leaving a small £2 acca to run to the end come what may. Maybe place that £2 acca with another bookie.
Hopefully you would win more longterm as the cashouts should pay out more frequently than the full acca. However on the occasions when it does come off you do get some compensation.
It seems to me that placing the same bet twice doesn't solve your predicament, it makes it twice as difficult! Now when you lose you're losing double the amount, and when you're sweating over the last twenty minutes you're still going to be wondering if you're sacrificing value by cashing out! I would say perhaps you're best looking for ways to hedge the acca within the individual match itself.

Ok some valued points here
the point I'm tying to make here is would this strategy work long term or is it flawed ?? me myself I'm not bothered about loosing or winning I do it for the thrill and fun but thought about this situation and wondered if it would work ? Hence asking you guys what you think.
more opinions appreciated
Thanks guys

Probably the best thing to do is to use your personal expertise. Maybe consider the most likley bets to come off, whether thats the odds of outright win, draw, no of goals etc. If you can identify the types of bets you are more successful with maybe those are the ones to include in your acca. Going by your op it sounds like you may have had some successes and near misses already so may glean some ideas from those.beermonsterman wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 8:27 amOk some valued points here

Having done this just trial it for a period and see how you get on. Chances are if the accas are made up of bets you're good at you'll be able to cash out at some stage anyway but you'll have useful experience to formulate a better approach in future.
I must confess that I know little about football betting having come from a racing background. However don't underestimate this as I myself have observed that football betting can be quite lucrative when done by people with a good understanding of it.

HI thanks for your reply and believe me I have no idea how footie works I don't even support a team I have no interest in it other than you have a set amount of teams all kick of at the same time so I see cash out opertunitys simply by picking odds on or close to evens in the under and over markets just random picks I find it fun to watch all the goals dripping in bit by bit it's my idea of fun
