Ha ha. Yeah. I'm not technical either, but I kinda figured that. Managed to get everything loaded fine on the laptop I borrowed, so it narrows it down to the main computer. It says it's fine, the virus scanner says it's fine, it's up to date, it's got plenty of spare disk space and RAM, a pretty new graphics card, and 3 tech guys who say it is fine. But it still won't load.
Looks like the only option might be to get the Windows disks and re-install and start again from scratch. Does anyone know what the implications might be for our home network? Will it have to all be set up again from scratch?
Ok, more info. Have thorough cleaned up my PC and is running well, but still won't play ball with BA. It tries to launch the log-in screen, then gives up and throws up a Microsoft.Net Framework error, the details if which are below. I hope this might help someone pinpoint what is happening.
By the way, in what is probably not the greatest advert for Bet Angel customer service, my contact to them went completely ignored.

Just checked through our inbox and can find a query from you on race times on the 8/4 but no further correspondence in or outbound? We can't offer support other than through the support form as it becomes impossible to manage and track. If you can contact through the support form I am sure we can help.
Have you tried Bet Angel on another computer? This looks like a full blown crash on your main PC. There is something on your PC that is causing it to crash, have you tried running the diagnostics, do they crash also? If so that would indicate a possible error with the .net installation. Could be anything at this stage so it makes sense to install on another PC to isolate the issue to your PC.
Race times? 8/4 was yesterday. I sent a message over a week ago, through the support form on the BA website. I certainly wasn't on yesterday. Perhaps that 8/4 one was last year? My request was for a brief extension of my subscription, so I could try to sort this without having to buy a new subscription. I will send another request when - or rather if - I ever get to the stage where the log in screen loads again.
It's only BA and BBP that crash. Nothing else fails at all. In fact, since I created a new user and rigorously stripped back the programs, it's running better than ever.
I used my mate's laptop and both BA and BBP worked without any problems at all, so it's definitely the PC.
I'm not sure what you mean about running the diagnostics. I've run a series of registry cleaners, anti-virus, anti-spyware and malware, PC tune-up programs, and defrags. I've also done system restores and deleted updates that occured since it last worked. All programs seemed to run fine, but nothing got it working again.
It worked again at one point, then went again at reboot. I really hope you can help, as I just can't afford to buy a new PC, especially when this one works fine for anything else.

There are diagnostics for Bet Angel available on the support page. You may want to try to run those as a test. Another option you have is to completely re-image your whole PC. It sounds like there is something corrupting the .net side of things. We have seen this before but only new user / new pc / or complete re-image seems to solve it.
