Hi there. I am going to Shanghai, China for 6 months and would like to know its possible to trade while i'm out there?
I plan to use a proxy or Personal VPN service(which I've been told will allow me to work around the Great Firewall of China) but i'm just wondering if a high-speed internet connection will still be too slow to pre-race trade?
Maybe someone abroad could comment on this. Thanks!
Using Betfair/Bet Angel in China
I trade from Spain and Switzerland and use VPN if I want the Racing UK pictures.
Betfair works fine on the VPN so as long as you can get a decent connection from China to the VPN server it should be ok.
The API refresh rate is slightly slower in Spain (100-150) than in Switzerland (70-100), so I'd guess it might be slightly slower in China due to the extra distance.
