Given the recent state with BetFair going down can I make a suggestion to have a radio button for api mode and non api mode. I know this would not have helped recently but we get a day when api is down and we have to remember to search manuals to find out that mode 1 is nonapi. Why not make this user friendly with a radio button?

dont think thats practical cause you have to log in to both modes, pressing a button will not simply switch modes.

why dont you log into to mode zero as normal (assuming you usually log into mode zero). then log into mode one (you have two ba's open at the same time).

then untick the refresh button on mode one so it is no longer refreshing, and leave it like that until betfairs api screws up (if it does), then just tick the refresh button on.

Sure that can be done. The only point I was making was just on being more "user friendly". The issue is BF is up 99.9% of time for the 0.1% its down I just do not think people will remember that 0 is api and 1 is non-api. I know this but I seen it happen to my neighbour. BF is down and he then goes looking for the BetFair user manual because he remembered somewhere that there was a non-api mode as well but did not know what number to put in. Or put another way in horse racing on the main screen you have a drop down of "offset", "offset + greening", "offset + trailing" etc.. BA does not say enter 1 for offset, 2 for offset + greening and 3 for offset + trailing. Point is if it was made user friendly with a drop down people would just know what to select in the drop down on connection mode. I do not understand why it has to be so non-user friendly.
