Viewing the horseracing market list it has 2 entries (or more for most) What is the meaning of (Place) in brackets?

Horse is to place, i.e. finish 1st or 2nd, 1st to 3rd, 1st to 4th
The market on the betfair page tells you how many places it's paying to.

Yes but liquidity is nowhere near as good as the win market.
