Hi I'm new to automation so I just want to make a simple request and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
Basically I want to set up bet angel to place a bet on a specific horse at the moment of the official off time *if* the price of the horse is over a certain pre-set value. The pre-set value I obviously want to set in advance based on my own evaluation. How would I go about doing this? Maybe there are already rules files here that I can use to do this task? Thanks.

You could try this and adjust it so it lays between 2& 3.5

No this is not what I want I don't want to lay a horse or to offset the bet I simply want it to activate a back bet if it is above a certain pre-defined price at the off time.

You can just add a fixed odds condition to your back bet rule

Okay I added the relevant race to guardian and then I clicked on 'create new rule for this market'. I went through the process of choosing a specific runner in that race and then putting a back bet on it at best market price and put the dot in at the off time, I don't see why I have to retrigger or whatever Because I only want it to place once at the off time, so I imagine I just leave the 'arm trigger at' and 'until' both at 00:00:00? Then I click on 'conditions' and added the fixed odds condition of the horse I want being over a certain price, in this case I put 1.4. So then when I went to close the box it's obviously asking me to save the rule and enter a rule name, but I only want this rule to work for this specific market, because otherwise the price is going to be useless, the minimum price I want is going to change for each market I apply it to. So If I have to save a rules file for each market I want to set it up for I'm going to end up with tons of rules files? I want to create a rules file and then be able to change the price as I want for that specific market? Or do I have to create a rules file and name it that specific race and then delete it after? Thanks.

If you have a list of runners you want to trade and a different price you want to back at for each, the easiest way to set this up would be to use a single rules file/baf and set up your runners and prices in a CSV file to import.

You'll need to do a little reading in the help file to learn how to create the CSV in the correct format but once done it would be straightforward.

Then your rules file back rule would look for ANY selection with a name match in the CSV, and with the price set in another Stored Value for that selection (both specified in the CSV).

Then, each day save your runners/prices to the CSV file and apply the rules file to the relevant (or all) race markets. If the selection name matched and the price was at your minimum it would then place the back at whatever entry criteria you specify - time etc
