We could have an announcement at the final whistle to declare how much has been raised for 'good causes' at this match!
A close Man Utd v Liverpool game coupled with a poor referee might exceed a children's hospital budget requirement for a year.

I was sad to hear of Marvin Hagler's passing, must have missed the news as I only heard about it on this forum. So I thought I'd revisit those three rounds of carnage.

Possibly the most extraordinary boxing performance I've ever seen Ali v Foreman. Ali gets pummelled for most of the fight. In Round 8 this happens. Ali was something special. Could he have won any other way than Rope-a-dope?beermonsterman wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 9:14 pmGood old back in the day heavy weight boxingbeermonsterman wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 9:10 pmCool I'm a bit of boxing fan myselfDerek27 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 9:05 pm

You would think by now Betfair would have gathered people trade for a living and even the ones that don't, don't lose their entire daily deposit every day to require the need for affordability checks.BudapestGambit wrote: ↑Fri Mar 19, 2021 6:09 pmFelt the need to express my frustration over deposit limits at Betfair without wanting to resurrect a dead 'account restrictions' thread so here I am. Up until Dec 3rd I had my daily deposit limit set at £15k. As A PC payer this was what I deemed an appropriate level and had negotiated this up largely to take a bigger position in the US election market pre-settlement with a view to backing Biden on the eve of the electoral college vote.
I then found an email from Betfair to inform me that as I am under 25 I had been restricted to £1k a day deposit limits. This was obviously frustrating and I got down a much lesser position than what I would have wanted. I contacted Betfair at the time and they said there was nothing they could do owing to regulation and I was told this by their account team later that week. I turned 25 in January and following this asked for my deposit limit to return to its previous level. I was told no problem and that this had been done and indeed when I checked my account page my deposit limit was £15K. Flash forward to last week The Players Championship and I wanted to take a large position on one market in particular requiring a deposit greater than £5k. I go to deposit and BAM my actual limit is £5k. Obviously its too late to do anything and I end up taking a much smaller position than I wanted. I contact Betfair customer service who refer it to their account team. They replied today.
I asked as a politely as possible to return to my previous daily deposit limit and set out the reasons why this was affordable. As a PC payer I thought this would be relatively straight forward. Of course I was WRONG. I have just been told that to increase past the 5k daily limit I have to prove that my income is twice the size of whatever new limit I want over the period the limit is set. So to move the daily deposit limit up £1 from the default level you have to prove you earn £365,365 a year as regular income.
TLDR: You have to prove you earn greater than £365K to increase your Betfair daily deposit limit past the default even if you pay PC.
They should have somebody with a basic understanding of trading making these decisions. Or perhaps their hands are tied by the regulations/guidelines.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 6:12 pmMaybe it's the putting it in and taking it out again frequently that raises the alarm. If you only do withdrawals there's no problems. I see how you might want a slightly bigger bank at certain times but last minute big deposits and immediate big withdrawals soon after could be taken as a sign you need the money elsewhere.
Haven't had time to watch the news but it's not the sort of thing I rant about. There will always be conflict between subjective matters such as left/right-wing politics, but the covid and non-covid believers argument is very different. One side has concrete scientific proof, the other has a fairytale book containing a science-fictional story of a microscopic chip with miniature fins that can swim around in your bloodstream, connect to and control your brain, but no actual evidence of the chip's existence or even the basic technology.
I don't expect it will be on the news or much of it, but lots of videos showing police and territorial support being overwhelmed in apparently the biggest protest the UK has ever hadDerek27 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 6:55 pmHaven't had time to watch the news but it's not the sort of thing I rant about. Not surprised with so many divisive narratives being run by the media; black vs white (BLM), men vs women (recent murder), masks vs no masks, right vs left.Trader Pat wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 7:15 pmSo many groups to keep track of now.
There was a march / protest / riot in Dublin a few weeks back when all these groups clashed with each other then the police. There was the far left, the far right, anti lockdown, anti vaccers, anti maskers... all that was missing was the anti pasti and the anti christ
